We will be raising money for two charities during our fundraising trip to Mongolia. They are equally important and are equally necessary. One is a bit closer to our hearts.
Two sportsfans. One with a job coaching in sport. Our first charity was easily found. Fonds gehandicaptensport is a charity that supports people who want to do sporting activities but due to various circumstances are not able to join regular sporting activities. This can be physical or mental circumstances. And just like you or me, there are various levels of expertise and professionalism. From a recreational soccer match to a (Para)Olympic Judo championship.
The second charity is cool earth. Cool Earth is now working alongside 113 rain forest villages throughout the world. These partner villages are protecting over 500,000 acres of forest that lie directly in the path of chainsaws and bulldozers. The clever part is that this forest is forming a shield to make the neighboring forest inaccessible to loggers – saving millions of acres of further forest.
